5 Korean celebrities who can speak English well



When you thought of Korean stars who are able to speak English, you would think first those who probably grew up abroad. But on this list, these are Korean stars who can speak English even they're not originally from a foreign or English speaking country.


1. BIGBANG TAEYANG



1. His full name is Dong Young-bae.
2. Has an older brother, actor Dong Hyun-bae.
3. He (apparently) talks in his sleep!
4. He can speak English, Japanese, and Korean.
5. He can play piano, guitar, and drums.
6. He really loves his piano because his mum bought it for him. Aww! 
7. He has his own special way to make ramyun. Yum!

2. SNSD Seohyun



it is prooved that it's sooyoung. just watch snsd's performance of "if you wanna be my lover" from the spice girls. they choosed the 5 members who can speak english the most. and taeyeon wasn't there. so no, taeyeon isn't one of the bests

3. BTS Rap Monster



Besides studying in New Zealand, Rap Monster studied English by watching F.R.I.E.N.D.S which if you don’t know, is an American TV series. His mum bought him all the DVDS and he would watch it, rewinding at parts to listen to them speak. He watched the whole series over and over again and perfected it. He’s very fluent in English now. Namjoon said that US/American hip hop really influenced him as well, so maybe that was his driving motivation. He would have also picked up on English while traveling/touring.



4. BLACKPINK Jennie



Jennie was born in Anyang, South Korea by the name Jennie Kim. Jennie grew up in Auckland, New Zealand until returning in high school. When she moved to Seoul, South Korea, she immediately became a trainee of YG Entertainment in 2010. She was raised abroad, so she is fluent in speaking in English. She is also fluent in Korean and can speak a little Japanese. She was only 14 years old when she joined YG, but she has proved to many that she has a lot of potential in her. She has also collaborated with her fellow YG artists before she was cast as a member of Black Pink. Jennie is said to be the possible leader of the group, but after the band debuted, there was no leader due to their similar ages.

5. Minzy



Gong Min-ji (born January 18, 1994[1]), better known by her stage name Minzy, is a South Korean singer and songwriter. She is a former member of South Korean girl group 2NE1, leaving the group and the group's agency in April 2016. She can do the basic conversation in english.
